South East of Ireland a good place to invest for a tech firm
Hello Everyone,
Welcome back to my blog. This week I will be talking about why the Southeast
of Ireland is a good place for a tech firm to invest in. The Southeast of
Ireland has the counties of Tipperary, Kilkenny, Waterford, Carlow and Wexford.
DoneDeal, Scurri, Netwatch, Dataworks are some examples of well-established
tech companies that are already located in the Southeast of Ireland.
There are a number of reasons as to why a tech firm might choose the sunny
south east to locate to so I am just going to list a few.π
The South East of Ireland is fast developing a reputation as being the
regional capital for ICT outside of Dublin.π The South East of
Ireland would have lower operating costs for a tech firm starting up than if they
were to set up in Dublin.
The Southeast of Ireland has a highly skilled and educated workforce, coming
from SETU which has campuses in Waterford, Carlow and Wexford. SETU provided courses
such as business and engineering and a lot more courses which have eager graduates
like myself this year looking for jobs!!π
South East of Ireland is perfectly positioned for ambitious business,
careers and a healthy work life balance. The South East is a more coastal
peaceful location to rewind after work instead of being stuck in a big noisy city
and sitting in traffic for long periods of time when all you want to do is
relax after a long day at work!π
These are a just a few reasons as why the south east might be appealing to a
tech firm looking to locate somewhere different.
Thank you for reading my blog I hope you enjoyed learning about the sunny
south east!π
I can’t wait to see you all again next week.
With all those advantages I don’t know why a business wouldn’t invest in the South East
